Scibertec was founded in 1996 by Ian Carrington and Adrian Lea with the aim of providing a core business of high-quality scientific and cybernetic technology applications, and as an extension of this core, a range of specialist business systems and support services in the PC/Network environment.

With many years experience in these areas, both directors felt there was a gap in the bespoke applications arena both locally and countrywide, to offer a high level of technical support to Scibertec's customers as part of a "full implementation" concept.

At Scibertec, quality has always been a strong point. We always strive toward achieving better standards. In the past, trying to achieve the highest standard was not always easy given the multiple and sometimes conflicting demands applied by our customers.

Our specialisation is:

• Development of scientific and laboratory based systems and interfaces, and associated research and consultancy. 
• Provision of software development and system analysis skills.

Our Quality Management System consists of three parts:

• a Quality Manual containing general policy statements and explaining the Company's philosophy on quality.
• a set of Procedures which apply across the Company.
• sets of project-specific instructions

In line with Scibertec's environmental statement, electronic representation and communications are used as widely as possible to maintain the above, and many other documents, databases, and quality records.

As required by the standard, we have a Quality Manager who monitors and reviews the operation of the QMS in order to further improve and develop the quality procedures.

People often ask us "what's the logo meant to be?". For those of us who don't know our ancient signs too well, our logo is the Greek symbol "Psi" - representing the ‘Sci’ in Scibertec. And you thought it was just a Trident!
